Noble Sweeps Second Billy Dart Leg
B T Attack paced the fastest mile of the evening on Saturday at Scioto Downs when he drew off from his pursuers to win in 1:53 for driver Chris Page and trainer Richard Todd, Jr.
It was the first win of the season in five starts for the five-year-gelding owned by James F. Morris of Chillicothe. Painted Speed was second and Super Kid N finished third.
B T Attack had been racing at Hoosier Park, Lebanon, and Northfied Park.
Machs Tenor N paced the second fastest mile of the evening with a 1:54.2 triumph for driver Chris Page and trainer Virgil Morgan, Jr. The four-year-old son of Mach Three scored by 6-1/2 lengths over Noble Jet and Mr Shady. The Joseph Muscara-owned import won last week at Scioto in an identical time.
A second leg win in the Billy Dart series went to Cruzin Bayou, trained and driven by Chip Noble, in a 1:56.4 victory over Lifes Bandit and Heres Hooter. Dr. Jerry Maloon Stable owns the winner.
Noble took the other division of the Billy Dart with Say Rich over D-e Cruiser Eric and The Truth. His time was 1:58.4.
The Iron Horse Series for horses with 40 or more starts in 2008 and 2009 was taken by Our Little Pilgrim in 1:55.4.
