Pompano Has $20K Pool Guarantee Wednesday
Racing fans are in for a delight on Wednesday evening (December 23) at the Isle Casino Pompano Park, with a full buffet of great wagering opportunities, and a special first post of 7 p.m. for the blockbuster 14-race card.
The action will get underway in the first race, with a $3,553 carryover in the 50-cent Pick 5, after a tricky sequence resulted in no winning tickets on Tuesday. Track officials have placed a lofty $20,000 guarantee on the total pool. The 50-cent Pick 5 is a nightly wagering covering Races 1 – 5, and it should be noted once again that first post for tonight has been moved a half-hour earlier to 7 p.m.
The popular Pentafecta wager is new for the 2015-16 season, and featured in the fourth race on each program. The Pentafecta requires fans to select the top five finishers in order and offers a 20-cent minimum. The wager has produced an average payout of over $1,300 for the 20-cent combination through the first 35 programs of the season. A special second Pentafecta has been added to the 12th race on Wednesday to go along with the standard offering in race four.
The 50-cent Pick 4 begins in the sixth race each night, and track officials have bumped tonight’s total guaranteed pool to $10,000. The wager features a reduced takeout of only 12 per cent. Not only will fans get to wager into a very nice pool as part of the regular Pick 4, but a special second offering will be available in Races 10 – 13. The added Pick 4 will offer a $5,000 guaranteed pool.
Last but not least, the Jackpot Hi-Five produced multiple winning tickets for the third consecutive card on Tuesday, resulting in the carryover climbing to $6,850 into Wednesday’s 14th race finale. In order to win the entire jackpot, fans must have the one unique winning ticket. The jackpot was last hit on December 15, with one lucky fan taking down $30,956.44 for the 20-cent combination.
Live racing continues at the Isle Casino Pompano Park on a five-night per week schedule, with a first post of 7:30 p.m. every Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evening.
