Winter Handicapping Tournament Details
It has been announced that Hanover Raceway’s Winter Handicapping Contest will kick off on Thursday, January 7.
Teams of at least two players will select a horse in 10 races from the eligible tracks competing that night, and the team with the most virtual dollars based on the horse finishing first or second will win.
First prize is two 50-inch TVs, courtesy of HDTV.
There will be weekly prizes courtesy of the Woodbine Entertainment Group and prizes for the top three overall teams, courtesy of HDTV in Hanover and Walkerton, OLG Slots at Hanover Raceway and Hanover Raceway Simulcast.
Hanover Raceway’s general manager, Gord Dougan, has said that up to 20 teams have competed in the contest in the past and that he’s looking forward to a great competition again this winter.
The contest will run for eight weeks and the rules are listed on hanoverraceway.com under ‘Winter Handicap Challenge.’
The contest will start at 7:00 p.m. each Thursday night for eight weeks, starting Thursday January 7.
