The second round of the Hiram Woodruff Series was brought to you by the letter “S” on Thursday evening at The Meadowlands

, as Slave Dream and Stood Alone had no problem winning their respective $18,000 affairs.

In the first division, Slave Dream won as he pleased despite having to do the first-over work for driver John Campbell. The Pierre Touchette-trained son of Pearsall Hanover stopped the clock in 1:53.4. Knight Of Intrigue was second best and Aisling rounded out the top three in the $18,000 tilt.

Slave Dream, who picked up his fifth win in his last six starts, now boasts a 5-2-2 record in his first nine starts of the season. The 14-time winner has banked $183,104 for Quebec partners Franco Cianci and Isidoro Russo.

It was a pylon-skimming win in the second split for Stood Alone, who found late room en route to posting a career-best clocking of 1:53.2 for driver Andy Miller. The Joe Pavia, Jr. trainee pulled off the 5-1 upset over John Pauls Legacy and Rompaway Alvin.

The four-year-old son of Lindy Lane now owns a 4-2-0 record in 13 starts this season. White Creek Stable of Boynton Beach, FL holds the papers on the career winner of $58,435.

The $46,500 final of the Hiram Woodruff Series goes next Thursday evening at The Meadowlands.
