Delaware Breeders To Chipoffthewall
Tony Morgan wasted no time establishing the lead with Chipoffthewall in Tuesday’s $100,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund final for two-year-old trotting colts and geldings at Dover Downs, and once the youngster made the lead it was game over for the others.
Chipoffthewall posted panels of :29, :59.2 and 1:29.4 before using a :29.3 closing quarter to win by a pair of lengths over Mondello in 1:59.2. Popcorn Machine took home the show dough.
Trainer Syl King, Jr. of New Holland, PA races the son of Master Lavec-Off The Wall under a lease. The gelding extended his winning streak to three-in-a-row while improving his overall record to 6-1-0 from 11 trips to the track. He’s already banked more than $100,000 to date.
