Napolitano Jr. Wins Eight At Philly
Driver George Napolitano Jr. had eight wins on the Sunday afternoon (Oct. 25) program at Harrah's Philadelphia, including a win in the featured event behind Luck Be Withyou.
The millionaire pacer Luck Be Withyou was one of eight combatants in the featured event on the 14-race program. It was a Winners Over $25,000 Lifetime Pace going for a purse of $25,000.
Starting from post eight, the four-year-old son of Western Ideal left aggressively at the start, seizing the lead before the quarter-pole. He then led every step of the way, setting fractions of :27, :55.1, 1:22.4 and 1:50.2 for a two-length win. Duc Dorleans (Don DuPont) was second, while Dream Out Loud N (Tim Tetrick) finished third.
The win was the 19th lifetime for the Chris Oakes trainee, and his ninth of the season. Luck Be Withyou ($8.60) is owned by John Craig of North York, Ont.
Napolitano also teamed up with Oakes for a victory aboard Art Degree, and drove three winners from the Gilbert Garcia-Herrera stable, including Somethinginthewind, Maytime Terror and Reggiano.
His other winners were: Rockin Rambaran for trainer Mike Watson, Meshwhogonna for Jacob Hartline, and Frost Bites K for Clay Faurot Jr.
