Trotting filly Hurricane Hazel fetched the highest price at Sunday's 2015 Fall Extravaganza Mixed Sale at the SC Sales Pavilion at Flamboro Downs.

While the weather prompted toques and warm clothing, the horses prompted brisk bidding action. Sophomore trotter Hurricane Hazel (Striking Sahbra - Sarong Hall) was the sale topper. The three-year-old sister to Open class trotter Watkins was purchased by trainer Rob Fellows of Rockwood, Ont. for $43,000.

In total, 95 broodmares, yearlings and racehorses were sold for a total just north of $1.011 million. That gross resulted in an average of $10,649.
