Travel Playlist A Crown Scratch
Travel Playlist, the year’s fastest two-year-old pacing colt with a mark of 1:49.2, has been scratched from the $600,000 Two-Year-Old Colt Pace on Saturday, Oct. 24.
Though the son of Art Major qualified for the final with a fifth-place finish in his Crown elimination Friday, it was not an effort that pleased his trainer, Erv Miller.
“He wasn’t himself and I don’t think he will back to himself in a week, so I have to do what’s right by him. I hate it – but it’s part of it. It’s not a good thing,” said Miller.
Travel Playlist had drawn post 8 for the final. When post positions have already been drawn before a horse scratches, the Breeders Crown conditions allow for the first “also eligible” to assume the post position on the outside of the remaining starters in the front tier of the starting gate.
The connections of the AE1, Talk Show, who was sixth but had more seasonal earnings than the other sixth-place finisher, Carlos Danger, accepted the challenge and will start from post 10. Betting Line and Pretty Boy Hill both move in a slot. The field for the freshman colt will now start in this order:
1. Racing Hill
2. Spider Man Hanover
3. Control The Moment
4. Nvestment Bluechip
5. American Passport
6. Boston Red Rocks
7. Big Top Hanover
8. Betting Line
9. Pretty Boy Hill
10. Talk Show
(Breeders Crown)
I don't know Mr. Miller, but
I don't know Mr. Miller, but that sure shows a lot of integrity to do what is best for the horse. I am sure the horse will reward you handsomely in the future. I will be looking for a good trainer in the future with that kind of integrity.
