Breeders Crown Trot Redrawn
On Wednesday morning, a redraw took place for the Breeders Crown Open Trot Final, a race that did not require eliminations.
A mistake in the Woodbine race office resulted in the mare trotter Bee A Magician being drawn into the Breeders Crown Mare Trot instead of the Breeders Crown Open Trot, as her trainer Richard 'Nifty' Norman had properly entered her.
Both races had no eliminations and all entrants would advance straight to the final on Saturday, Oct. 24. When the error was discovered after post positions for both fields were drawn, it was the decision of the Ontario Racing Commission judges to withdraw her from the Mare Trot and redraw the Open Trot to include her. The post positions for the Mare Trot will not change. There will be no starter from the 10 post.
The revised field for the $532,150 Breeders Crown Trot final is as follows:
$532,150 Breeders Crown Trot, Race 11, Saturday, Oct. 24
1. Flanagan Memory (Tim Tetrick)
2. Resolve (Ake Svanstedt)
3. Gural Hanover (Matt Kakaley)
4. Bee A Magician (Brian Sears)
5. Intimidate (Sylvain Filion)
6. Creatine (Johnny Takter)
7. Master Of Law (Brett Miller)
