Surrealist Romps In Inverness Feature
Sfter settling for the runner-up role in his last two starts, Surrealist dominated the top pacers at Inverness Raceway on Sunday as he kicked away from his competition into the stretch.
With Colin Kelly in the sulky, Surrealist came from off the pace and took off in a final quarter sprint to win the $1,500 Winners Over feature by more than nine lengths in a season's best clocking of 1:56.2. Schooner, the winner of the last two top class events, and Nephin rounded out the top three finishers.
Owned and trained by Dana Getto of New Waterford, N.S., the Modern Art gelding has now won eight of his 25 starts as a nine-year-old.
