Sister To Snow White Tops Day 2
A regally-bred trotting filly topped Tuesday’s second session of this year’s Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, as Thats All Moni fetched a top bid of $230,000.
Thats All Moni, who sold as Hip 140, was acquired by Jimmy Takter of East Windsor, New Jersey. The Cantab Hall-Moms Millionaire filly is a half-sister to the ill-fated Snow White (1:52.4 - $1,432,056).
Seven Stars, a son of Chapter Seven, was the next highest with a price tag of $225,000. Signing the slip was agent Myron Bell of Boynton Beach, Florida. The colt is out of the 100% producer, Starlet Fever. She’s a daughter of World Champion and multiple stakes winner, My Starlet (1:56.3 - $340,258).
Rum Punch, who solid as Hip 205 for $190,000, went to John Cancelliere of Bloomfield, New Jersey. The Somebeachsomewhere colt is the first foal out of Whos Up Whos Downs – a three-quarter sister to Western Shore (1:48.3 - $1,247,985) and Livefreeordiehard (1:50 - $468,311) and a full-sister to Atomic Ideal (1:50.1 - $382,660).
A total of 154 yearlings went through the sales ring during the second session for combined sales of $8,621,000 and an average price of $55,981.
A total of 157 yearlings sold during last year's second session of the auction for totals sales of $8,833,000. Last season's second day average was $56,261.
All in all, this year’s sale has produced total sales of $19,355,000 for an average price of $76,806.
