Health Screenings, Flu Shot Dates Moved

It has been announced that the free health screenings and flu shots for New Jersey horsepeople at Gaitway Farms have been rescheduled to Wednesday, October 21.

A release on the matter by the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey states that news of the change has come courtesy of Dr. Chris Samaha of the Backstretch Community Assistance Program.

With a hurricane scheduled to hit the area on the originally scheduled date (Monday, October 5), it was decided to cancel and reschedule.

The Gaitway screenings will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Upcoming screenings are set for Wednesday, October 7 at Crystal Brook Farm (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) and Thursday, October 8 in the Freehold Paddock (12 p.m. to 3 p.m.).

For more information, contact Chris Samaha at 732-956-7139 on Mondays and Wednesdays at Freehold and the Farms at 732-571-5376 at Monmouth Park on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
