If you love the Little Brown Jug, and if you love watching Wiggle It Jiggleit pace over a half-mile track, George Teague Jr. is on the cusp of making you very, very happy.

Barring an unforeseen circumstance, Teague will be supplementing Wiggle It Jiggleit to the Little Brown Jug, according to a report by harnessracing.com.

Teague has been cited as saying that he will make the $45,000 supplement payment to contest the Jug, which will be contested on Thursday, September 24 at the Delaware, Ohio County Fair.

The idea of seeing Wiggle It Jiggleit pace over the lightning-fast half-mile oval is enough for some fans to lick their proverbial chops. In May of this year, Wiggle It Jiggleit stamped himself as harness racing’s fastest-ever gelding over a half-mile racecourse. His world record 1:49 mile came at Harrington Raceway with George’s son, driver Montrell Teague, in the race bike for trainer Clyde Francis.

As the harnessracing.com article explains, Wiggle It Jiggleit became eligible to be supplemented courtesy of his win in the Meadowlands Pace in July.

The report has also cited Teague as saying that he will donate a percentage of Wiggle It Jiggleit’s Jug Day earnings to driver Brad Hanners, who was diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma, a type of kidney cancer, in July. A GoFundMe account has been set up for donations to support Hanners and his family during his treatment. The account can be found here.

Additionally, if you’re in the Kingston, Ont. area and are looking for a trip down to watch the Little Brown Jug live, Trot Insider has learned that you are in luck. For complete details, click here.
