After stringing together 11 consecutive victories stretching back to September 2014, Inspired Art's win streak came to an end on Sunday afternoon.

He had been dominating the Preferred class for the past year at St. John's Racing and Entertainment Centre, but Inspired Art was defeated by his stablemates on the Sept. 13 program.

Salmonier Storm and Go With It battled for the lead in Sunday's $535 Preferred before Dustylane Wildbill came on from third to score the 2:04.1 triumph over the "good" track. Stoveonfire closed for second-place and completed a sweep of the top two spots for the Scott Forward stable. Salmonier Storm finished third while the veteran Inspired Art was fourth throughout the mile, beaten three and three-quarter lengths.

Brad Forward drove Dustylane Wildbill for Joanne Forward of Goulds, Newfoundland. The five-year-old son of SS Sand Dollar was a runner-up to Inspired Art in their last two starts and notched his second win of the season from eight outings.

Scott Forward won a total of four of the afternoon's six races, with Shane Forward driving his other winners, House Of Stuart, Dusty Lane Zoe and Silverhill Legacy.
