Officials with the Alberta Standardbred Horse Association have released information in regard to the upcoming ‘Family Day at the Races’ which will take place at Century Downs Racetrack this Sunday (August 23).

The family day festivities will kick off at 1:30 p.m. Live racing will get underway at 2 p.m. The first 100 kids will receive a free gift.

Organizers are inviting kids to bring their riding/bicycle helmet for a chance to jog a horse.

Family day is full of events, are there will be face painting, horseshoe decorating, pony rides, balloon animals, a bean bag toss, and a sugar cube candy truck.
