McClure Wins Five Races At Clinton
Fans were treated to another Super Sunday at Clinton Raceway while driver Bob McClure stole the show winning half of the afternoon's 10 races.
McClure, who had eight drives on the day, earned four consecutive victories starting in race three. He began his win streak with Get Around Town for trainer Vernon Cochrane, Ken Pollard's Windsong Kinley, and Spilling The Beans for Dennis Morrissey. McClure also drove first-time winner Big Time Ms, who is trained by his father Lormer and owned by his girlfriend Jody Howard. McClure appropriately scored his fifth of the day (race eight) aboard a trotter named Im The Man, trained by Robert Doyle.
The Wave, a local girls hockey organization, was on site Sunday hosting a fundraiser with a 50/50 draw, toonie auction and shoot-to-win contest. With the support of race fans, the girls were able to raise over $800 for their 2015/16 hockey season.
Live harness racing resumes next Sunday, August 2 with the Huron Perth AAA Lakers Major Peewee's hosting a trackside fundraiser, and as always, the Super Sunday Show will be entertaining between the races, with games and prizes. Live race post time is 1:30 p.m. all summer long.
