The Boards of the British Columbia Standardbred Association and the British Columbia Standardbred Breeders Society are pleased to announce the appointment of Rod Hare as their new Executive Director

. Rod will begin his employment with the associations on May 11, 2009.

Rod is originally from Ontario although he moved to British Columbia to attend U.B.C. where he completed his Bachelor of Physical Education and a Diploma in Education. Rod moved to Australia for a period in his life during which he completed a Masters in Business Administration at the University of Western Australia.

Rod has over thirty years of senior level management experience in business and finance in both the private and public sectors. He also has had a close attachment to the horse industry while living in Australia. The BCSA/BCSBS members look forward to Rod’s arrival.
