Kawartha Downs officials have now sent out three notices to horsepeople today. One deals with qualifying times effective Saturday, May 2. The second notice is of an upcoming series, while the third one announces a track closure

this weekend.

The qualifying times are listed below.

2-Year-Old Pacers -- 2:04
2-Year-Old Trotters -- 2:07
3-Year-Old Pacers -- 2:03
3-Year-Old Trotters -- 2:06
Aged Pacers -- 2:02
Aged Trotters -- 2:05

(1 second allowance for 1/2 Mile Tracks)

The second notice states that the Kawartha track will be closed for all of Sunday, May 3.

The third note states that the upcoming KD series is the Hot To Trot Trotting Series, which is for non-winners of $20,000 in lifetime purses as of May 1, 2009 (no allowances).

Eliminations with purses of $8,000 per division will be contested Saturday May 16, 2009, while the final with a purse of $12,000 (added) will be contested Saturday, May 23, 09.

A $100 nomination fee is due on or before Monday, May 11, 2009. There are no starting fees. All cheques can be made payable to Kawartha Downs.
