Fantasy Stable Contest Update
The first month of the 2015 Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable contest is now complete with a tight race atop the leaderboard and 11 stables boasting million-dollar bankrolls.
Greg Hayter of Stratford, Ont. currently boasts the best stable. His Jack And Nicholas Stable is fronted by sophomore Wiggle It Jiggleit and older trotter Bee A Magician with a total of $1,084,075. Not far behind are Kitchener, Ont.'s Brad Wilkinson and London's Scot Wood. Wilkinson's Amen Corner Stable hasbanked $1,059,299 thus far while Wood's The Kingpin Stable has amassed $1,052,642.
The Trot Magazine Fantasy Stable contest is based on total earnings of selected horses and five percent of the earnings of selected trainers and drivers between May 22 and December 31, 2015. For the purposes of the fantasy bankroll, the winners (horses only) of the 2015 Breeders Crown Finals will each receive a $200,000 contest bankroll bonus.
At the end of the year, the winner of the contest will receive entry into and travel to the 2016 World Harness Handicapping Championship, a prize valued at (approx) $1,300.
