CJs Super Secret Takes Hoosier Feature

CJs Super Secret knocked off nine rivals in the $20,000 final of the Ralph & Dorothy Rose at Hoosier Park on Thursday evening, and in doing so lost her maiden status.

With Mark O’Mara at the helm, CJs Super Secret got away in mid-pack while Ripkens Red set early fractions of :29.1 and :58.2. Nasty Secret rushed to the top in the back half of the mile and took the field past the three-quarter pole in 1:28.3.

In the stretch, O’Mara cut through horses along the inside and got up in the final strides to win with CJs Super Secret in a time of 1:59.1. Heavily favoured Nasty Secret was a half-length back in second, with Cuda Boy rounding out the top three.

CJs Super Secret is owned by Jerry Foulk and Connie Armstrong of Delaware, Ohio. Foulk also serves as the trainer. The four-year-old daughter of CJs Secret more than doubled her career earnings to more than $17,000 in the effort.
