Hanover Raceway Hosts Pepsi Night

It was a perfect weather night for Pepsi Day on Saturday at Hanover Raceway.

Pepsi provided close to $2,000 in prizes, including a patio set, BBQ, bicycles, and much more. Fans also got a chance to taste test their new lines of Starbucks coffee, Pure Leaf iced tea, and Mountain Dew Energy drinks.

On the track, Hanover's top driver Bruce Richardson, who won three races in week one, continued his winning ways with two wins, two seconds and three third-place finishes. Richardson's first win was in race two with Pembroke Chip in 1:59.4 for owner Dale McFadden of Ayton, Ont. The Arthur, Ont. native also won race six, which was the featured Pepsi Pace with Skyway Boomer in 1:58.4 for owner Glenview Livestock of Guelph, Ont.

J Harris of Dundas, Ont. also had two wins on the card. The 30-year-old reinsman won race three with Euchred in 1:57.1 for owner David Yuzpe of London, Ont. and the nightcap with Modern Best in 1:59.1 for owner Stephen Morton of Windsor, N.S.

Next Saturday is Molson Men's night at Hanover, in honour of Father's Day. Fathers in attendance can win some fabulous prizes courtesy of Molson. Post time Saturday, June 20 is 7:15 p.m.
