Five More For Jamieson
Flamboro Downs hosted an 11-race program on Wednesday, and driver Jody Jamieson added to his impressive totals with a five-win performance.
Jamieson, who has taken on a serious workload in 2009, has already racked up 213 wins this season in addition to a healthy UDR of .362.
The career winner of 4,489 races took today’s opener with Paczki, who pushed her win streak to four-in-a-row after tripping the teletimer in 2:00 for trainer Rick McNeill. Jamieson also clicked with Imperieux A (1:57.2), Freebie Friday (1:59), Taniells Fame (1:59.1) and Winning Clues (1:58).
The 2007 season was a career-best for Jamieson, who sat behind winners of purse earnings in excess of $10.5 million. The season was capped off with Jamieson collecting his first O’Brien Award as Canada’s Driver of the Year.
Last year Jamieson sat behind winners who banked more than $8.7 million in earnings, and he was as finalist in the Driver of the Year category at the O’Brien Awards.
