Somebeachsomewhere Scratch

Trot Insider has learned that Pierce Hanover has been scratched from his Somebeachsomewhere division slated for Saturday night at Mohawk Racetrack.

Ken Sucee confirmed on Saturday afternoon that the son of Cams Card Shark has a minor throat infection, necessitating the scratch.

According to the trainer and co-owner, early vet reports indicate that the colt's issues should be cleared up by early next week and thus not presenting a roadblock for entry into the 2015 Pepsi North America Cup elims.

Pierce Hanover (Cams Card Shark - Panned Out) is co-owned by Sucee's brother Ralph and Shelby Novick. He's rated at #9 (22-1) in the Trot Magazine Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book and is unbeaten in two seasonal starts.
