Posts Drawn For 2015 Elitlopp
The post positions have been drawn for next Sunday's 2015 Elitlopp, which will be contested at Sweden's famed Solvalla Racecourse.
North American award-winning trotting mare Maven drew post four in the second elimination, which also includes defending Elitlopp champion Timoko (post seven). The six-year-old mare is trained by Jimmy Takter and owned by Toronto's John Fielding along with Herb Liverman, a former Montrealer now residing in Miami Beach, Florida, and Joyce McClelland of Zanesville, Ohio. Johnny Takter will drive the daughter of Glidemaster.
Among the second elimination starters is a horse with Canadian ties as Magic Tonight (post five) was bred by Canadians Marvin Katz and Al Libfeld. The Andover Hall son is now campaigned by Sweden's Roger Walmann.
In the other elimination, U.S. representative Wind Of The North drew post eight. Dave Palone is listed to drive the five-year-old Cantab Hall gelding for trainer Daryl Bier of Smyrna, Delaware and co-owner Joann Dombeck of Davie, Florida.
