Flamboro Preferred To Lexis D J
Bob McClure put the pedal to the metal with Lexis D J in Thursday’s $11,000 Preferred 2 for trotters at Flamboro Downs, and the gelding steamrolled to a comfortable score in the featured tilt.
Lexis D J pushed out quickly from the rail and threw down fractions of :28, :58.3 and 1:27.4 before using a :29.1 closing quarter to win by 3-1/2 lengths in 1:57 over Extracurricular. Third prize was earned by Incredable Frank.
Shane Arsenault of Waterdown, Ontario owns and trains the eight-year-old son of Amigo Hall-Lexus Lulu, who improved this year’s record to 4-1-4 from 12 starts with the win. The 35-time winner increased his cash stash to $405,332 in the process.
