New York Payments Due; Colts Shine
Officials with the Harness Horse Breeders of New York State have sent out a reminder that a pair of yearling nominations is due this Friday (May 15), while Monticello Raceway has trumpeted the news of some recent victories by participants in New York Sire Stakes action at the half-mile oval.
On Wednesday (May 13), officials with the HHBNYS issued a reminder stating that the yearling nominations for the NYSS NO. 56 for foals of 2014 are due (postmarked by) May 15. Forms and conditions can be found at nysirestakes.com or by clicking here.
Additionally, the HHBNYS announced that the yearling nominations for the Dr. Harry M. Zweig Memorial Trot #43 for foals of 2014 are due (postmarked by) May 15.

On Wednesday, officials with Monticello announced that, two days earlier, Ron Burke trainees Crazy Wow and Habitat won NYSS races at the half-mile oval at the hands of driver Yannick Gingras.
Crazed three-year-old Crazy Wow recorded a wire-to-wire victory in 1:56:4, while Habitat, a three-year-old son of Conway Hall, held on for a head win in 1:56.3.
Other winners Monday at Monticello included Hollywoods Thatway, Stoneham, Maestro Blue Chip, Desert Storm, Courts N Session, Royal Status, Azucar and Military Blue.
