Napolitano Jr. Wins Six At Philly
George Napolitano Jr. teamed up with trainers Christie Collins and Gilbert Garcia-Herrera for wins in six of Wednesday's 14 races at Harrah's Philadelphia.
Napolitano won five races in a row beginning in the third with Hes Lucky ($3.20) for Collins. He then teamed up with Garcia-Herrera for his next four victories aboard Alibi Hanover ($8.60), Georgetown N ($2.20), Petty Hanover ($8.20) and Texas Caviar ($7.80).
There was a short break until Napolitano made it to the winner's circle for the sixth and final time on Wednesday after guiding the Collins-trained Orr Hanover ($3.40) to victory in the 11th race.
Another star of the card was 2015 Pepsi North America Cup eligible Somwhereonthebeach ($2.10), who broke his maiden with a nine and a half length romp in 1:53.2. Brett Miller was in the sulky for trainer Sam Depinto and owners Shannon Depinto and the Kovach Stables. The lightly raced Somebeachsomewhere-Keystone Dawn colt has been assessed at odds of 95-1 in Trot Magazine's Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book.
Harrah's Philadelphia will conduct a special Saturday racing program, with a post time of 12:40 p.m.
