More Pepsi North America Cup eligibles hit the track this morning during Mohawk Racetrack's qualifying session, where a couple of solid aged performers also put in miles

Trainer Mike Novick and driver Rick Zeron hooked up with Cup-eligible Real Artist colt Real Showdown (120-1) in the opening qualifier and produced a victorious mile. After putting in work on the front end, the 120-1 shot in Trot Magazine's 2009 Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book recorded a two-length win in 1:56.2 courtesy of a :27.4 finishing quarter.

Bay Of Sharks, a 60-1 Spring Book selection, finished seven lengths in arrears of Real Showdown, pacing in 1:57.4.

Simcoe Stakes winner Im Just Special put in her third qualifying mile of the year in Race 5 and finished second, pacing in 1:57 flat. The four-year-old Camluck mare is prepping for her aged debut for trainer Tom Artandi.

Top older trotter Digital Image put in his first charted mile of '09 in Race 8, as the six-year-old Balanced Image gelding stepped to an open-length 1:57.2 victory for trainer Geoff Maltby.
