At 15-1, Traceur Hanover comes in at #6 in Trot Magazine's 2015 Pepsi North America Cup Spring Book. Now back with the colt's original developer, Normand Bardier Jr., Trot Insider touched base with trainer Claude Bardier, Normand's brother who also works with the horse, for an update on the sophomore.
Where did he winter?
"He was at my farm in Quebec."
How long was he turned out?
"He started back at the end of January."
Where are you at with him right now?
"He trained 2:10 this week and he was perfect."
Have you noticed any changes from last year to this year?
"He knows he's a stud and like to play a bit more but he's a nice horse."
When will he qualify and what's his early schedule looking like leading up to the Pepsi NA Cup?
"Normand will go with him to Ontario, like last year. He'll come with a couple of horses mid-May." The colt is eligible to the Somebeachsomewhere.
What is he staked to past the NA Cup?
"He has about 8-10 stakes on his schedule."
