Putmeintogo Part Of Moreau’s ‘Big Night’
Two-time O’Brien Award-winning trainer Richard Moreau is no stranger to winning races, and he’s convinced pacing mare Putmeintogo to do the same.
The homebred distaffer front-stepped her way to a 1:55 score in Friday’s $30,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred at Mohawk Racetrack in one of four training wins for conditioner Moreau.
Putmeintogo shot to the top for driver Sylvain Filion and sliced out fractions of :28.3, :57.3 and 1:25.4 before using a :29.1 kicker to seal the deal. Rubis Prescott sat a pocket trip throughout en route to finishing second, while Marlee B rallied from last to finish third.
Robin Morley of Mildmay, Ontario bred and owns the five-year-old daughter of Mach Three-Arizona Beach. The victory was her fourth of the season – and the 13th to date – for the career winner of $$193,296.
Moreau also managed to connect on the Friday evening card with Hldontghttoyurdrms (1:57.3), One Last Bono (1:54.4) and Peppermint Patti (1:55.2).
