Passover Pace Details Announced
Officials with Monticello Raceway have announced the details for the 2015 edition of the Passover Pace, also known as the ‘Race for the Matzos.’
This year the race will be held on Monday, April 13. This event is open to drivers of Jewish heritage.
Track officials are hoping that three-time Passover Pace winners Alan Schwartz and Mike Kimelman will be participating in this year’s go-round.
The winner of last year’s race was Bob Krivelin, who drove Isnt She Lovely to victory.
Comments from Schwartz indicate that he is planning on taking part yet again in 2015. The track has quoted him as saying, “I am looking to win my fourth Passover Pace this year.”
The Passover pace is open to any licensed driver of Jewish heritage that holds a full (A) or a Provisional (P) from the United States Trotting Association (USTA) or Standardbred Canada.
For further information, contact the track’s race secretary, Eric Warner, at the racing office (845-794-4100 [Ext. 557]) or contact Shawn Wiles at (845-794-4100 [Ext. 458]).
