Two-time Trainer of the Year Richard Moreau swept the $7,500 Preferred 3 events on Wednesday night at The Raceway at the Western Fair District with Jonathan Drury scoring the driving double.

Moreau and Drury teamed up with Mike Wassilyn's trotter Illseeuincourt ($4.20) and Saverino Spagnolo's pacing mare Badlands Love ($3.90) to win the back-to-back co-featured races over the "good" track. The victories were the first of the season for both favoured four-year-olds, who had recently posted runner-up efforts in Woodbine Racetrack's winter series.

Illseeuincourt followed the cover of Excellence and then wore down that rival in the stretch for the half-length victory in 2:00.3, with Stolen Goods rallying down the center of the track to grab third.

Badlands Love confronted race leader Murphys Ideal during the final lap and prevailed by a quarter-length in 2:00.1. Royal Cover Up followed one length behind in third.

Following the Preferreds, The Raceway's General Manager, Greg Blanchard, presented trainer Kevin McMaster with a congratulatory sign in front of the grandstand for reaching the 2,000-win mark on Sunday night at Flamboro Downs.
