Scholarship Details Announced
The Christian Harness Horsemen’s Association wants to see harness racing youth succeed.
Via release, the CHHA has announced that it plans to award three scholarships in 2015: 1. $1,000 John and Janet Klark Memorial Scholarship; 2. $1,000 Rambling Willie Scholarship; and 3. $300 Weldon and Nancy Stockwell Memorial Scholarship.
The CHHA scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors and/or students enrolled in an educational institution of higher learning. Students who demonstrate a strong commitment to their Christian faith and are involved in harness racing are encouraged to apply. The Scholarship Committee gives special attention to how the applicant demonstrates his/her Christian faith in daily living and his/her involvement in harness racing, in addition to financial need and the course of study the applicant is undertaking.
Students must be full-time and may be enrolled in degree or certificate programs.
The CHHA loves watching its scholarship recipients become all God made them to be. Ohio’s Lindsay Hagemeyer is a great example of a young lady who is using the talents God gave her to make a difference for the Lord and for harness racing. CHHA is proud of Lindsay and is happy to have played a small part in helping with her education. Lindsay plans to continue her studies in veterinary medicine and psychology.
The application is available on the CHHA website (chha.net). Completed applications, including all attachments, must be postmarked on or before April 30. Recipients will be announced no later than July 1. All applicants will be notified of their status.
