Front-Stepping Score For Just One More
Just One More went to the front and didn’t look back en route to a dominant performance in Friday’s $10,500 Fillies & Mares Open at Fraser Downs.
In rein to Brandon Campbell, Just One More darted to the lead from Post 4 and whacked out splits of :27.4, :57.1 and 1:25.3 before storming home in :28.2 for the 1:54 decision. It was three lengths back to runner-up Rummys Command, with Real Pretty a distant third.
Daniel Gaboury of Fort Nelson, British Columbia owns and trains the five-year-old daughter of Shanghai Phil-Cover Of Darkness. While it was just her first win of the year, the mare has finished no worse than second in her first five starts of the 2015 campaign. The 22-time winner has potted close to $105,000 in her career.
