Filly Pacers Battle In Round Two Of DSBF
Dover Downs hosted the second leg of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) for three-year-old fillies on Sunday
, which featured 20 pacers doing battle in a trio of $20,000 divisions.
The Roger Hans-conditioned Toms Toy, an odds-on favourite, extended her win streak to four-in-a-row thanks to a 1:55.2 victory over Honey and Karens Destiny. Corey Callahan mapped out the winning trip for the daughter of Powerful Toy.
In the second split, Brandon Givens drove AJs Lilgamblngal to an off-the-pace score in a time of 1:55. Wayne Givens trains the Gamblers Dream miss, who defeated Naughty Francesca and B A Lady.
Eddie Davis, Jr. clicked with Rustys Joy in a time of 1:54.4 in the final division. The daughter of Badlands Hanover, who hangs her harness bag in the barn of trainer Bobby Myers, easily knocked off Little Bit Tricky and Everymileamemory.
The $100,000 DSBF final goes Monday, April 6 at Dover Downs, which will also host the opening leg of the Classic Series.
