Delaware Ohio Meet Changes Announced
On Thursday, February 12, officials with the Little Brown Jug issued a press release in regard to multiple stakes payments that are due February 17. The release also states there will be some minor changes for the annual racing meet at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Ohio.
Little Brown Jug officials have announced that sustaining payments for the sophomore pacing classics Little Brown Jug, Jugette, Old Oaken Bucket (three-year-old open trot) and the Buckette (three-year-old filly trot) are due February 17. These payments are for foals of 2012.
The Little Brown Jug and Old Oaken Bucket will be raced Thursday, September 24 and the Jugette and Buckette on Wednesday, September 23.
Also, the officials stated that the 2015 Delaware Grand Circuit meet will have a couple of notable changes. The meet will return to five days of racing (Sunday, September 20 through Thursday, September 24). Monday’s card will have a special 3 p.m. post time. Sunday and Tuesday will go postward at 1 p.m. The Jugette and Jug cards will retain their traditional 11 a.m. start time.
The racing officials have also elected to pay all purses based on the 50%-25%-12%-8%-5% schedule.
