Another 'Hot Night' At Fraser
Fresh off a stunning victory in the Princess of the Pacific Finale on March 14, Hot Night maintained her momentum with a win in the $12,000 Fillies & Mares Open Pace on Friday at Fraser Downs
.
Trained and driven by Brandon Campbell, the heavy favourite battled with B Bar Marilyn (Tim Brown) for the early lead but had to settle for a pocket trip. Longshot Adorable Killean (David Hudon) was the runner-up finishing half a length behind while B Bar Marilyn held on for third in a three-horse photo finish with last week's Open winner, Im Bossy (Bill Davis), and Modern Legacy (Keith Clark).
Hot Night, a six-year-old Northern Luck mare, has banked $65,250 for co-owners Jim Macphail and George Rogers of Calgary, Alta. with two wins, one second and one third in four tries this year. The winner of 18 races has earned a grand total of $239,038 in her career.
