All Turain Wires Charlottetown Pacers
All Turain switched up his tactics from his off-the-pace win last weekend at Summerside and cruised wire-to-wire in the $2,300 Preferred Pace featured on Saturday afternoon at Charlottetown Driving Park.
Driver Mike Stevenson sent race favourite All Turain ($3.10) to the lead from post four and led through fractions of :29, :59.2 and 1:29.1 en route to the 1:58.3 triumph over the "good" track. Astor finished two lengths behind in second while third prize went to Mcjestic.
The five-year-old Tell All gelding earned his second straight win and 11th in 18 seasonal starts for local owner Lee Hicken and partner Perry Burke of Grosse-Ile, Que. Trevor Hicken trains the winner.
In other Saturday racing news, William MacKay Jr. earned his first driving win aboard his maiden-breaking three-year-old pacer O U Megga Legs ($16.30). The homebred Presidential Lies colt prevailed by half a length in 2:06.4.
Saturday qualifiers were cancelled due to poor track conditions and will be rescheduled for Sunday.
