Mike Stevenson is down to drive the five-year-old son of Tell All from Post 4 after having engineered an impressive 1:56.1 victory at Summerside Raceway last weekend. All Turain, trained by Trevor Hicken, came from the back of the pack with a 28-second final quarter to notch his 10th victory of the season.
Foxyhall Racing has their two stable stars, Astor (to be driven by Gary Chappell) and Narrgansett (Jason Hughes), ready to roll. They will start on the outside of the favourite in Post 5 and Post 6, respectively. The roster also includes heavy hitters like Cheyenne Ford (Kenny Arsenault), Shock The Rock (Corey MacPherson) and McJestic (Walter Cheverie).
Cabo Pan Lucus has received top billing in the ‘back up’ class for trainer Gary Poulton and his co-owner, Alan Walker, of Charlottetown. Vince Poulton will do the driving.
JK Queen and Pleasure Girls have received the nod in their respective trot assignments on the program.
The third annual Drive for Charity campaign will come to a close Saturday. The 13 drivers and their sponsors have raised thousands of dollars for island charities and they will make their official presentations after Race 2.
