No ‘Instants’ At Rosecroft

Maryland’s attorney general Douglas F. Gansler has shot down a bid of Rosecroft Raceway to install 50 instant wagering machines using ‘historical races.’

Gansler issued an opinion saying the machines -- first used at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Arizona, and now in use elsewhere -- do not meet Maryland’s definition of pari-mutuel betting.
