Hopefull N circled the field to score a 1:53.2 victory in the $32,000 Mares Jr. Open/Open Handicap pace at Dover Downs on St. Patrick's Day, Tuesday, March 17.

With two of the eight listed starters scratched, Hopefull N sat last at the half and was still last but outside following cover at the three quarters. At that point, pilot Brandon Givens got the Totally Ruthless--Maidens Blush eight-year-old going.

Hopefull N sped three-wide around the final turn and hustled down the lane to catch the leader, Apache Dame and driver Ross Wolfenden, approaching the finish line. Hopefull N would go on to record her second victory of the year. Still Electric (driven by Tim Tetrick) finished second. Lockes Of Love closed for third money.

Preston Walls, Chad Tate and Steve Daugherty own Hopefull N who has banked $41,250 in 2009 and $281,108 lifetime.
