Hope For Stolen Horses
Those hoping for the safe return of three horses that were stolen at the beginning of October have been given a shot in the arm.
CBC News ran an item last week explaining that a Standardbred mare with a blue eye had been stolen along with a brown-and-white paint mare and a palomino-coloured Quarter Horse gelding from a property on Chemin des Érables, located just north of the community of Sainte-Cécile-de-Masham in Quebec, on September 30 or October 1.
The Ottawa Sun has published an updated story which states that the Quarter Horse gelding has been found.
The report states that a L'Ange Gardien-area farmer spotted the Quarter Horse on one of his fields on Wednesday, October 29. The article states that the farmer had been alerted to the three missing horses via a story that had been posted on Facebook.
The farmer’s field is located roughly 50 kilometres away from where the horses had been stolen.
If anyone has any information about the two other mares that were stolen, call Detective Bourque at 819-459-2422 (Ext. 3288) or Info-Crime at 1-800-711-1800.
