Third Straight For Classicality
Classicality quarter-poled to the lead, then gamely fought off Better Caviar in a stretch-long duel to notch his third straight victory in Tuesday’s $20,000 Preferred Handicap Trot at The Meadows.
Although Classicality had taken his last two starts from well back, Brian Zendt changed tactics Tuesday and sent the four-year-old Classic Photo-Penn Worthy Lane gelding after the leader, Waiting On A Woman, early. That set up the exciting finish, with Classicality downing Better Caviar by a head in 1:53, matching the lifetime mark he established last week. Waiting On A Woman saved show.
Lisa Dunn-Adams trains the homebred Classicality, who has won 20 times in 2013-2014, for Dunn Stable.
Tony Hall drove four winners on the 15-race card while Eric Ledford and Dave Palone each fashioned a triple.
