Balanced Image Set For Saturday

The $70,600 Balanced Image final will head to post for Race 10 during Hanover Raceway’s 11-dash program on Saturday, August 30.

First-race post time for the card is 7:15 p.m.

Four eliminations for two-year-old trotters were contested last Saturday, and the top two finishers from each elimination will return for a shot at the $70,600 purse.

Among those competing is Platoon Seelster owned by Dennis Hannath of Harriston and Caroline Holliday of Mt Forest. The two-year-old was one of two yearlings that the duo purchased at the London sale. Unfortunately, the other yearling passed away when a tornado went through the London area earlier this year. Hannath has said he's extremely pleased with the colt and is just happy they get to participate in the final. Platoon Seelster has earned over $21,000 in just two lifetime starts and will be driven by Caroline's husband, Ryan Holliday, of Mt Forest.

The morning line favorite is one of three fillies in the final. Gee Okeeffe is owned by Wilbur Lang and Chris Beaver of Ohio. The two-year-old filly is one of the top Ontario Sires Stakes Gold trotting fillies in her class this season and has already earned over $60,000 in just six starts. She will start from the coveted rail position and driver Dave Boughton, who qualified three different horses for the final, is listed to take the reigns.

The Earl Ash Memorial Trot (Race 5) will also be part of the card. First-race post time at Hanover on Saturday is 7:15 p.m., and, as always, the card will be available for viewing and wagering on Horse Player Interactive.
