Craig Colston Passes
Standardbred horse owner Craig Colston, 54, of Maineville, Ohio, passed away at home on August 23.
Born to Donald Rodney and Talitha Marie (nee Hahn) Colston on March 4, 1960, in Dayton, Craig was a 1982 graduate of Wilmington College, taught at Lebanon High School for 10 years, worked for more than 25 years as a financial consultant, and was a lifelong member of the Lebanon Presbyterian Church.
His passion was Standardbreds, as he was an owner and fan.
He also coached Lebanon JV baseball, was an assistant Lebanon football coach, and enjoyed coaching summer baseball leagues. He was a huge Ohio State University football fan and tolerated the Reds and Bengals when they were winning.
Craig is survived by his wife, Shay (nee Risk) and constant companion, his loving dog Frazier; parents, Donald and Talitha; in-laws, Tom and Alice Risk; son, Zach; brother, Kevin (Barbara); and nieces and nephews, Meg, Kenzie, Payton, Adam, Ben, Katie, Adi and Landry. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Visitation and service took place on Wednesday, August 27 at Lebanon Presbyterian Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of choice.
