Harrington Feature To Embassy Seelster
Despite being subjected to a first-over trip, Embassy Seelster dug down deep and posted an impressive victory in Tuesday’s $13,000 Mares Open II at Harrington Raceway.
Embassy Seelster, in rein to Allan Davis, watched My Ideal Hanover throw down panels of :27.2, :56.3 and 1:25 before overtaking that rival in the lane. A :27.2 closing quarter earned Embassy Seelster the head decision over Springforth in 1:52.3. Race favourite My Ideal Hanover faded to finish third.
Sent off at odds of 7-1, Embassy Seelster won for just the second time this season for Doug Lewis. He trains the career winner of $97,924 for J And M Racing of Finksburg, MD.
