Hail The Taxi will seek to fend off seven foes in the feature pace Thursday night at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park. The 12-dash card gets underway at 7 p.m.
Marc Campbell will drive Hail The Taxi, a four-year-old son of Art Major, from Post 2 in the $1,900 feature for owners Brian Evans, Randy Van Meer and Lynda MacSwain. Darren Trainor conditions the pacer, who was a winner in 1:56.2 his last start out. Race analyst Les MacIsaac also places his faith in Hail The Taxi to land in the CDP winner’s circle.
“He's been steadily climbing back up the class ladder as he seems to be regaining his confidence,” MacIsaac said, “And last time out earned a win in what happens to be the fastest on the page this year. Don't rule out a repeat.”
