Dream Of Glory Night Details
Hanover Raceway’s 2014 Dream of Glory Day, which will take place Sunday, August 3, will not only include the $78,800 final, but will also feature five divisions of three-year-old colt pacers in the Ontario Sires Stakes.
Among the Dream of Glory finalists is last week’s fastest elimination winner, Warrawee Promesse who won his division in 1:57.4. Wayne Henry of Arthur trains, drives and shares ownership of the three-year-old with Fred Brayford of Alliston.
The son of Windsong Espoir will start from Post 5 in the final, which has been carded as Race 10.
The Dream of Glory card also includes five OSS divisions that will feature three-year-old colt pacers. Among the colts competing are four of the top 10 Grassroots points earners, including Regal Babe, owned by Robert Chapple of Chatham. The Gregg McNair trainee has a win and two second-place finishes in three starts on the OSS circuit and over $47,000 earned this year. Also competing on Sunday is Lucky King, who is owned by Glenview Livestock of Wallenstein.
Jack Darling owns and trains two notables that will be racing during the card. Shadowbriand has over $73,000 earned this season after having started out in the OSS Gold program. All Star Seelster has earned over $54,000 on the Woodbine Entertainment Group circuit, but has just one third-place finish in his two starts in the OSS program. Mike Saftic will be on hand to steer both Darling pupils.
