Zombie Film To Be Shot At Racetrack
Hollywood filmmaker and Maine-native Kyle Rankin, who has recently turned the streets of Portland, Maine, into a zombie apocalypse with his newest production, ‘Night of the Living Deb’, will make a stop at a Standardbred racetrack.
The Hollywood zom-rom-com is scheduled to film on the property of Scarborough Downs sometime next week, and members of the cast and crew will take some time off from production to enjoy an afternoon of harness racing at the iconic track on Saturday, June 28. A race will be dedicated in their honour with a trip out to the Winner's Circle. Post time is 4:30 p.m.
Maria Thayer, (‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’) stars in the production, along with Michael Cassidy (‘The O.C.’), Chris Marquette (‘The Girl Next Door’, ‘Fanboys’) and veteran actor, Ray Wise (‘How I Met Your Mother’, ‘RoboCop’, ‘Twin Peaks’), all of whom are expected to visit the track. The afternoon at the races will be filmed as part of a behind-the-scenes segment, which will air on YouTube.
Rankin, whose credits include, ‘The Battle of Shaker Heights’ and ‘Infestation’, plans to wrap up filming in early July.
