Arnold Campbell Passes

Longtime horseman G. Arnold Campbell of Seaforth, Ont. passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 6 in his 77th year.

Beloved husband of Margaret (nee Battin) Campbell for 52 years. Loving father of the late Edward Campbell; Jim Campbell (Marci) of Lucan, Karen Taylor (John) of Seaforth and Becky Belfour (Matt) of Seaforth. Proud Papa of Megan and Matthew Campbell, Owen and Cora Taylor and Garrison Belfour. Dear brother of Mabel Nesbitt of Stratford, Les Campbell (Gail) of Seaforth and Marjorie Dillon (Hardy) of Kitchener. Arnold will also be missed by his siblings-in-law, Joyce Battin (and friend Jerry), Charlotte Parsons (Harold), Mary Beth Mann, Ross Battin (Marg), Janice Pfeifer (Murray), and many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his parents George and Esther Campbell, and his sister Muriel McClure.

Arnold lived a full and happy life. He fulfilled his dream at the age of 15 when he purchased his farm. He loved animals, especially his beloved horses. Arnold was notorious for defying the odds while dealing with numerous adversities. Despite his challenges, he always kept his head up and had a great sense of humour.

Visitation will be held at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Sunday, June 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, June 9 from 1 p.m. until the time of Arnold’s funeral service to celebrate his life at 2 p.m.

Interment will take place at Maitland Bank Cemetery and a luncheon will follow at First Presbyterian Church in Seaforth.
